Which test did you get?

Plain guides to the most common hiring tests: format, what they measure and how to practice.

  • SHL: What the SHL Verify test is, how many questions and minutes it has (numerical, inductive, verbal) and how to practice the style for free.
  • Criteria (CCAT): The Criteria CCAT has up to 50 questions in 15 minutes and a median score of 24. Format, question types, scoring and free practice.
  • pymetrics (Harver): What pymetrics (Harver) games are, how long they take, how results are used and how to practice similar tasks without guessing.
  • Arctic Shores: What the Arctic Shores behavioral assessment looks like: up to nine tasks, what it measures, tips and how to get familiar with similar tasks.
  • Evaluación psicolaboral: What a Latin American evaluación psicolaboral or psychometric exam includes: interview, reasoning tests, personality and projective tests.
  • Practice effect: What research says about practice and retest effects on aptitude tests, plus a 7-day plan to practice well.

How it works

  1. Practice by category Pick a category and take its tests in practice mode: you see the explanation after every question. See the tests
  2. Measure yourself in exam mode Your first exam-mode attempt of each test in your profile's areas is the one that counts for your report. Play 3 games on the same day, because they are kept for 24 hours in this browser. Go to the mock exam
  3. Organize your practice with your report Your report by job profile organizes your practice by the kind of role you want; it does not predict your result in any hiring process. See a sample report

Before you start

When you practice, your progress is saved only in this browser (localStorage) — we never send or store your data on any server, and there's no signup or email required. There are two exceptions. If you buy the optional full report, we store your email and the payment details, never your results. If you use the recruiter platform or take one of its evaluations, the server stores that data and your evaluation results are sent to the company that invited you. All content is original, inspired by public assessment formats, never copied from any real test. No test on this platform — including the Cognitive Ability Test — is a certified psychometric instrument or measures your IQ: it's a self-practice tool.
